Dr. Prabhakar B Kore
Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Chairman of the Society for Computer Technology & Research (SCTR), which runs the PICT College and the PICT Model School, has been conferred the prestigious Padma Shri (2026), one of India's highest civilian honours, awarded in recognition of distinguished service in various fields of activity. He received this honour for his remarkable contributions to education, healthcare, agriculture, the cooperative sector, politics, and community welfare at the state, national, and international levels.

A visionary educationist and philanthropist from Karnataka, Dr. Kore has dedicated his life to creating opportunities for the underprivileged. He has played a pivotal role in establishing quality educational institutions and medical facilities that serve rural and marginalised communities, ensuring access to meaningful learning and essential healthcare. Under his leadership, the Karnataka Lingayat Education Society (KLE Society) has grown into a vast network of over 300 institutions, and he has also served as Chancellor of KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER) and KLE Technological University, shaping generations of students.

The members of PICT management and the academic leadership team were fortunate to have the opportunity to facilitate him and interact with Dr. Kore on campus on 25th February 2025, an inspiring moment that reinforced his vision and guidance. The PICT family takes immense pride in having Dr. Kore as our mentor, whose leadership, dedication, and philanthropic spirit continue to inspire us to strive for excellence in education and social service.

Mr. R S Kothavale
Mr. Kothavale is a Technocrat and an Industrialist. He founded and promoted Rajkumar Forge Limited, a listed company at Bombay Stock Exchange in which he held the chair as the Managing Director until 2017. He is also an Educationist and Founder Trustee of the Society for Computer Technology & Research, Pune which runs the famous Pune Institute of Computer Technology – PICT. PICT is now ranked No.8 in the country and is a well sought after Engineering College in the field of Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Electronics and Telecommunication.

Mr. Swastik Sirsikar
Mr. Swastik Sirsikar is a Civil Engineer armed with Masters in Business Administration which guided him to start his own contracting firm in the field of construction. He has the privilege of serving on many boards and committees in varied capacities such as in the field of education – as Trustee & Secretary, SCTR – which hosts a most reputed and leading Engineering College, in the field of sports – Trustee & Vice-President of “Lakshya” – a national level NGO, in the corporate world – as an independent director of public listed companies and a private limited company, in the field of social service – as member of Rotary Club for 29 years. He was the President of the most prestigious club of town – The Poona Club Ltd. He is also the Founder President of “Association of Clubs in Pune”. He is a certified Corporate Director and a member of Institute of Directors.
